What age group is this for?
Teens ages 13-18
How many teens can take the training at once?
Because the exercises are done as a group, we recommend a minimum for 4 teens with a maximum group size of 50 teens. We feel that 25- 30 is an ideal size.
How long is each lesson?
Most lessons are between 10-15 minutes.
Review sessions are 5-6 minutes long.
How many lessons are there?
There are 35 lessons & 35 short reviews
What is the duration of the program?
We recommend doing one lesson per week along with one review session so that students have time to practice the tools they are learning in their day to day life. However, because each lesson is stand alone content, they can be done at your own pace as frequently as you like.
Will the teens get emotional?
The program is educational in nature and provides teens with tools to deal with their emotions in a safe and healthy way. This training is not therapy and is not designed to induce deep emotional reactions.
Are there any teens who should not take this training?
While learning about emotions, teens can sometimes become emotional; however, the content is designed as a teaching tool and is not meant to be therapy or a replacement for therapy. Teens who have recently experienced emotional trauma or teens with severe learning disabilities may need assistance that is beyond the scope of this program.
How will the program benefit me as the educator or group leader?
This program willl benefit you as the educator or group leader by teens making taking more responsibility for themselves and you having fewer behavioral problems and disruptions in the classroom.
Does the facilitator need any special training?
Most of what you need to do is push play. There are one or two exercises where we need you to provide supplies such as pen and paper or a trash can but otherwise, feel free to relax and take some time for yourself.
